Garden 40 Belgrade’s Rooms
The room we had while staying at Garden 40 Belgrade was very well set up both for leisure and business. It was a long and thin room, one end had the bed with bedside table on either side, in the middle was a unit with the TV and the other had a working desk and chair and wardrobe.
The room had a bathroom with a shower and toilet. I was very modern and extremely clean.
Wifi worked really well the whole time we were there. There were also ample electric sockets to recharge all our gear.
Garden 40 Belgrade’s Service
The service at Garden 40 Belgrade was exceptional. There were two occasions in our short stay that showed us they went above and beyond what we would have expected.
The first was when we were offered a cup of tea, we had already noticed they only had fruit teas and commented that Ron only drank black tea. By the time we returned later in the day, there was black tea available for us to enjoy a cup.
The second was at breakfast, we were greeted by name, asked how we slept and advised that they had maps and information for us when we were ready. We were asked if there was anything particular we wanted to see? When we replied that we just wanted to see the main things as we only had one day, Aleksandra put together an itinerary for us to ensure we could make the best use of our time, this included recommended places to stop for breaks.
Garden 40 Belgrade’s Location
We chose Garden 40 Belgrade for two reasons, we were arriving after dark and wanted somewhere we could walk to from the Train Station and as we had only one full day we wanted to be able to walk around the main historic part of the city.
It was perfect for both, it took us less than 10 minutes to walk from the station in the dark. It was also well signposted so easy to find in the dark. It was within walking distance from most of the main places we wanted to explore and a short bus ride from the The Church of Saint Sava.
This was the perfect choice for our needs.
Garden 40 Belgrade’s Cost
The room at Garden 40 Belgrade cost us $48 Aus a night including a really good Continental Breakfast. Breakfast included cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, cereal, fruit along with juice and hot drinks.
There were also hot drinks and fruit available all day you could access along with a lovely terrace.
It was one of the best rated and cheapest hotels on Hotels Combined when we stayed in January 2016.
