After an early breakfast the Princess was packed and we were off on our next run from Ullapool to The Hebrides.
The fog had lifted a little so we could see to the other side of Loch Broom as we rode around it. We reached Corrieshalloch Gorge and after a short walk we were on the suspension bridge looking down the 150 feet onto the river as it raised past. The photos really do not do it justice it was stunning. It was such a peaceful place although we timed it perfectly as when we were leaving a bus tour turned up.
Back on the bike and we just didn’t know where to look it was so beautiful as we rode around lochs, between mountains and wound our way along the west coast. Next stop was Inverewe Gardens, 56 acres of stunning gardens, set on a hillside. Stunning views across the coast and an amazing array of plants that grow here because they have mild weather due to being situated on the gulf stream.
We then wound our way through more breathtaking scenery as we headed across the causeway to Skye then to the southern end of the island to get our ferry.
The sea was like glass so no travel sickness tablets needed, we arrived and rode the final 50kms to our Airbnb host’s house.
It was a long day but well worth it.
Here are some of the amazing sights we saw along the way…
