We were fortunate to have a housesit in Dunbar in the South East of Scotland. It really is a hidden gem 30 miles (48kms) from Edinburgh so close enough for a day trip. The coastal drive is stunning passing through many seaside towns and it is also serviced by the train. Dunbar itself has a variety of coffee shops to enjoy lunch. If you are lucky enough to be here on a Tuesday or Thursday check out the Woodfired Pizza van down by the harbour.

There are some great coastline walks, an old castle and even the first Wesley Church in Scotland to explore.
