Hostel Club 33 in St Petersburg Russia

We were recommended Hostel Club 33 by our couch surfing host and were not disappointed.

It is well situated and within 15 minutes walk to a variety of metro stations meaning wherever you want to go in the city it is easy.

Sergi the hostel owner is really welcoming and is around to answer any questions you may have as well as advice on where to visit etc.

The rooms are a decent size, our room had a queen sized bed which was really comfortable and a sofa (a bonus if you don’t want to go into the communal living area). The hostel has two double rooms, one family room and a dorm room.

The toilets and showers were really clean and there was lots of hot water 🙂 There is a shared kitchen/ living area with plenty of space to relax. There are also opportunities to meets locals who pop in for the occasional get together which is a bonus as often you only meet other travellers in hostels.

All in all we would highly recommend Hostel Club 33 as a base for St Petersburg for around $40 a night for a double room it is not only excellent value but also very comfortable and welcoming.

  1. It’s always interesting to read a hotel review, in particular those at the lower end of our budget. Not all accommodations are like the Ritz Carlton but the reality is that it doesn’t matter. As long as you have a comfortable bed, a shower that works and clean room that’s pretty much all you need in my opinion. I have yet to find anyone that takes a holiday just to spend it in the confines of a hotel room!
